Yes, and you can too. Just follow the link over to the Yarnharlot to read about it and post your entry to the competition.
I can't wait to be a part of this. As, you may know, I am new to knitting, have only been knitting since shortly before the holidays. Recently, I joined a group run By Iris Schreier author of "Modular Knits". Her new style of modular knitting really looked interesting to me so I figured I'd give it a try and get her book. Unfortunately, it took me couple weeks to get the book, so I have started it yet. I figured the Olympics would be the perfect time to start. I'd like to do a project from her for my competition. Now, a lot depends on how I do on the swatches in her book for the different geometry pieces. but if I'm having some trouble learning it or am just slow to get it done I'll use her "Multi-Directional Scarf" from her book as my competitive peice. Now, if I'm able to get the swatches done and the scarf prior to the Olympics, I want to make her "Silky Tie Wrap" from the January 2006 edition of Creative Knitting.
